The Board of SpermVital is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristin Børresen as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 August 2026.

During a transition period, Tor-Arne will remain involved to ensure a smooth handover and introduction to customers and partners.

Kristin joins SpermVital from her position as Chief Executive Officer of Graminor AS, a role she has held since 2019. She brings extensive leadership experience and a broad background in agriculture, genetics, biotechnology, and international business. Her previous positions include Marketing and Communications Director at Graminor, Area Sales Manager at Geno Global AS with responsibility for the sale of Norwegian cattle genetics in approximately 20 international markets, Project Manager at BioInn/Kunnskapsparken Hedmark, and roles within Norsk Hydro/Yara, including participation in international trainee and leadership development programs.

Kristin also has significant board experience, having served as a board member of SpareBank 1 Finans Østlandet, the Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board (Bioteknologirådet), and the International Advisory Panel of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. She previously served on the Board of SpermVital AS (2009–2013). Kristin holds a Cand. Agric./Master’s degree in Economics and Resource Management from NMBU, with part of her studies completed in Alaska.
